Vajk or Vojk (alternatively spelled as Voyk or Vayk in English, Voicu in Romanian) is an Old Hungarian masculine first name derived from the Turkic Bajik (or Bajiq or Bayk)〔(Acta orientalia Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae, Volume 36 ), Magyar Tudományos Akadémia, 1982, p. 420-426, Cited "The Turkic original of the Old Hungarian name Vajk is Bajiq"〕 which meaning is "True Man"〔http://web.axelero.hu/kesz/jel/01_12/hunyadiak.htm Hungarian: "...a törökből magyarázható. Eredeti formája Bajik. Értelme: 'Igaz Ember'A b a hangfejlődés során gyakorta alakult át v hanggá." English:..it is from turkic origin.
